Financial Business Services

School Business Administration manages approximately $11 billion in state and federal funds and provides various technical support services to School Districts/Local Education Agencies (LEAs), Independent Public Schools (IPS - charters, lab schools, and regional schools), their employees, and other public school stakeholders.

FBS Summer 2022 Conference - On July 21, 2022, Financial Business Services will conduct its annual conference at the Sheraton Imperial Hotel and Convention Center, Research Triangle Park. The full-day conference will offer participants a variety of sessions regarding the latest legislative/budgetary updates, personnel updates, charter school updates, and other essential information about new and continuing issues concerning local education agencies and charter schools.  An agenda and other information will be posted soon.

The Division of School Business manages state and federal funds that are allotted to LEAs and IPSs. We collect, compile and analyze public school financial, student and personnel data. We provide support to LEA and ISP financial offices and monitor compliance with state and federal laws.
