Design Review

School Planning professionals conduct design reviews for new schools, additions, and renovations.  Design reviews ensure that school facilities accommodate modern educational program requirements.  Project reviews encompass code compliance, life safety, longevity, durability, economy, and efficiency of building construction systems.  Comments address local program flexibility while providing accountability with regard to the State Board of Education's North Carolina Public Schools Facilities Guidelines.  Design review conferences are available at each design phase, offering design teams and school administrators the opportunity to meet with the School Planning staff of architects, engineers, and programmatic specialists.
