For the 2026-2027 school year, the NCED Connect Team is providing a variety of professional development to PSU leaders and educators. Below you will find the schedule of live events as well as links to some pre-recorded webinars. Use the tabs below to view the PD offering for each of the NCED Connect Products. EBSCO Resources for Homework Help & School SupportIt’s back-to-school season, so let's celebrate the ways in which EBSCO resources provide homework help and support for students. We will review the abundance of EBSCO databases and interfaces for student research including the K12-focused Explora interface, essential databases including Primary Search, Middle Search Plus, and MAS Complete, and EBSCO’s extensive collection of eBooks. 
November, 2026 (TBD)Empower K-12 Research with ExploraJoin us for a tour of Explora, EBSCO’s engaging interface designed to support student research and classroom instruction with rich, reliable content and easy-to-use functionality. We will browse the mobile-friendly, accessible interface and conduct basic and advanced searches to discover articles, eBooks, and primary source documents available in EBSCO’s age-appropriate educational databases including Primary Search, Middle Search Plus, MAS Complete and Academic Search Complete. We will review important functionality like Lexile limiters, the citation tool, text-to-speech, language translation, cloud integrations, and COPPA-compliant accounts to organize student research

EBSCO eBooks and the New LCP DRM SolutionEBSCO has adopted LCP DRM, a new Digital Rights Management (DRM) solution for EBSCO eBooks which offers a more secure, accessible, and vendor-neutral reading experience. Join us for a demo of the new workflow for downloading DRM-protected eBooks and viewing them offline using the recommended Thorium Reader App.

EBSCO Databases for Career Technical EducationJoin us to review EBSCO’s vocational databases for CTE including (1) Auto Repair Source, the most user-friendly and authoritative service and repair database with information for thousands of domestic and imported vehicles, (2) Small Engine Repair Source, equipped with user-friendly maintenance and repair guides for all types of small engines and (3) Small Business Source, which offers exclusive full text for many top consumer small business reference books, business videos, case studies, help and advice, a start-up kit and tips for writing business plans. We will cover basic and advanced search, and review custom tools and functionality like the citation tool, Google and OneDrive integrations, and personal MyEBSCO accounts to organize research.

Join this session to explore how Britannica School's interactives, features, and tools can transform research into an engaging classroom experience. Discover ways to incorporate scavenger hunts and friendly competitions that spark curiosity, build inquiry skills, and make research more active and fun for students. We'll also explore Teach Britannica's ready-to-use instructional resources, including lesson minis and classroom activities, that promote collaboration, inquiry, and deeper learning.

CEU Questions/Clarifications:

How much credit will I receive? .1 CEU which is equal to 1 hour of credit (10 hours of credit equal 1 CEU).  Each on-demand course could be worth different amounts of credit and is displayed on the course description.

What type of credit will I receive? For on-demand Canvas courses, you will receive general credit.

How will I receive credit? Credit will automatically appear on your transcript within 48 hours of course completion.

CEU Questions/Clarifications:

How much credit will I receive? .1 CEU which is equal to 1 hour of credit (10 hours of credit equal 1 CEU) for participating in the LIVE session of each webinar or the NCEES courses.

What type of credit will I receive? For webinars, the type of credit is approved by your school/district when you follow your approval process. You should provide a written justification for the type of credit you are requesting approval for. Each school/district retains the right to approve/deny for all credit types.

How will I receive credit? If attending a webinar, you must login to the LIVE webinar using the link sent to you after you register. Our webinar service will track who logs into the webinar and how long they participate. Within 5 business days after the webinar is concluded, a certificate of participation will be sent via email to those who participated in the LIVE webinar session.
