State Performance Plans and Annual Performance Reports

The Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act (IDEA) requires each state to develop a State Performance Plan (SPP), which includes annual targets for 17 indicators identified by the U.S. Department of Education Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP). States must also evaluate the implementation of IDEA requirements and report annually on their performance of the targets identified in the SPP through an Annual Performance Report (APR).

The NCDPI State Performance Plan/Annual Performance Report (SPP/APR) evaluates our state's efforts to implement the requirements and purposes of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, Part B, and describes how NCDPI plans to improve outcomes for students with disabilities. The report is available to the public after the OSEP's review of the state’s efforts to meet the requirements of IDEA. Each SPP/APR for the appropriate federal fiscal years are provided below.
