This two-day inter-disciplinary course is an in-depth dive into language development and strategies for providers to encourage and teach communication to students who are learning to communicate. In addition, participants will become familiar with augmentative and alternate communication teaching methodologies and explore the Extended Content Standards, which are aligned to the Standard Course of Study in North Carolina.
