Transdisciplinary Play-Based Assessment 2: The Essentials is an overview of the developmentally appropriate evaluation tool used with young children. During the session, participants will be introduced to the TPBA2 process, which includes establishing an effective team and utilizing parents as a key component to inform decisions. In addition, a summary of the observation guidelines and age tables will be presented.

This session provides a foundational overview of effectively planning, implementing, and supervising preschool special education programs. Participants will explore key components of a high-quality preschool exceptional children’s program, application of NC Policies, related SPP/APR Indicators, early childhood best practices, and strategies for ensuring strong program outcomes. Deeper discussion will include least restrictive environment planning as well as instructional considerations.
