This institute is designed to provide strategies for supervising and supporting services for exceptional children and is most appropriate for district- and school-level administrators. Content will include authoritative sources for regulations, state statutes and policies, procedural priorities, dispute resolution strategies, and frameworks necessary to support evidence-based instruction. The use of ECATS as a supervisory tool will be included to highlight standard reports, progress monitoring tools, service documentation, and compliance monitoring that will assist in scheduling services, planning for state mandated assessments, and caseload management.
