Description: This webinar will orient new users to the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Hub, a valuable resource to professionals working with students who are deaf and hard of hearing across NC. Come join us to learn more!Audience: Teachers of the D/HH, EC Teachers, SLPs, and any professional who works with students who are deaf or hard of hearing in public schools in North Carolina.

This professional development will focus on the receptive and expressive language development of students who are deaf and hard of hearing of varying ages. This session will provide skills, strategies, and resources to support language development and encourage collaboration among professionals working with these students.

This course is a beginner level exploration of auditory development, vocabulary development, linguistic development, and the numerous strategies (AV strategies) used to enhance language development for students who are deaf or hard of hearing using listening and spoken language. The course has numerous opportunities for reflection and application of learning, and is moderated by a Listening and Spoken Language Specialist.
