Educational Audiology Webinar Series. Webinar #3

Description: Have you ever left a dinner with friends completely wiped from listening? The background noise, the multiple people talking, trying to keep up with it all? Research shows that some deaf/hard of hearing students struggle with this type of fatigue daily, a result of challenging listening environments and fast-paced social interactions. This presentation will explore the concept of “listening-related fatigue”, as well as the steps taken to develop the Vanderbilt Fatigue Scales for Children to identify which students may be affected. Attendees will learn how and when to utilize the scales via case study examples. (This will be a 1-hour recorded presentation followed by a 30-minute live Q&A session with the presenter.)
