Job Board / Applicant Tracking

In 2015, the State began providing an online applicant tracking and onboarding system that is available to all public school districts and charter schools at no cost so they can hire quality staff for their school district. This system, known as TeacherMatch, offers some specific functionality such as allowing districts and schools to do 'prospecting', post jobs to social media, and all users of TeacherMatch to post to a NC Specific Job Board.  By Fall of 2018, the system was in operation in over 250 districts and charter schools.

In the Spring of 2020, NC DPI partnered with TeachNC and PowerSchool to develop a true statewide job board that encompasses all NC school districts and charter schools including those using TeacherMatch, AppliTrack and SearchSoft.  This job board increases the recruiting reach and broadens the applicant pool for PSUs when looking for qualified candidates to fill positions within their schools.

New ATS Upgrade Information

In 2021, NC DPI has again partnered with PowerSchool to offer upgrade opportunities to all PSUs/Charter Schools regardless of the applicant tracking system they currently use.  There is no cost for PSUs to upgrade or opt-in to the new ATS/Onboarding system.  There are additional modules PSUs can purchase on their own, if desired.

Implementations began in October 2021 and ran through October 31, 2022.  PSUs interested in moving to the new ATS/Onboarding system, had to complete a sign-up form.

ALL TeacherMatch users had to move off of TeacherMatch to another product, either to the new ATS/Onboard upgrade offer or one purchased by the district, by the end of the implementation period as the system was being shut down at that time.

A recorded webinar with additional information on the new system as well as the presentation and a link to the sign-up form can be found in the tabs below.

As of January 23, 2023 there were 90 districts and 61 charter schools live on the new application system, Applicant Tracking, with another 59 charter schools continuing to work on their configurations before going live.
