To begin the 2020-21 school year, Superintendent Catherine Truitt and her team traveled across the state to greet educators, students and their families during the first week of school.
“The start of any new school year is always cause for excitement, optimism and a celebration of all that is possible. This year brings even greater hopes for bright, new beginnings and the promise of a fresh start for students, teachers and school leaders across North Carolina. … We wish you a great start to what we’re confident will be a safe and productive 2021-22 school year.” – Superintendent Truitt and State Board of Education Chair Eric Davis in their back-to-school note to educators
Check out photos from the back-to-school visits below. Stay tuned to the District Visits & Voices blog as the DPI team continues their visits into the fall to witness and share promising practices across the state. Stay tuned for more information about the team’s efforts!
