This is a 15-hour online course that includes 13 hours of asynchronous online content and 2 one-hour live webinars for a total of 15 contact hours. Intended outcomes for participants include: increasing knowledge of autism spectrum disorder (ASD), exploring how ASD impacts foundational domains of child development, and increasing awareness of instructional practices to improve engagement of children with ASD in the early childhood setting.Course will be open January 2, 2024 and be available to search in NCEES.

This course aligns the Foundations of Math with the Extended Content Standards. It is a four-day offering in which three days are devoted to participants learning Evidence-Based Practices in Mathematics specific to the Components of Number Sense, assessing students with significant disabilities on these skills, and how to deliver instruction based on those assessment results. The fourth day integrates understanding the extended content standards and connecting the standards to the newly learned mathematical concepts.

This one-day professional learning specializes in collaboration to provide an understanding of the Mathematic Extended Content Standards. This professional learning is directed towards teachers of students with significant cognitive disabilities. Professionals will collaborate to analyze, decode, plan, and create mathematical activities based on the Extended Content Standards.Location: Williamston, NC

Description: This professional development training will focus on the receptive and expressive vocabulary development of students with hearing loss of varying age ranges. This session will provide skills, strategies, and resources needed to teach vocabulary and word learning strategies to students who are deaf or hard of hearing. Participants will be granted 6 hours (0.6 CEU Credits) for attending this in-person training.

ECS101 is a one-day, in-person professional learning held in Lillington, NC. The PD will be covering the essentials of teaching students with significant cognitive disabilities. This overview of the Extended Content Standards will provide an overview of belief systems, communication, prompt levels, extended content standards, scheduling, and progress monitoring. This course is for newer professionals working with students with significant cognitive disabilities. The exact location of the professional learning will be sent November 6, 2023 to all registrants.
