Digital Learning Grants

Since 2017, the competitive Digital Learning Initiative Grants have supported districts as they address challenges, harness opportunities, and leverage resources for digital-age teaching and learning. By creating hubs of innovation across the state that model digital leadership and that support NC educators in their professional growth, students’ access to highly-qualified educators and opportunities increases.

The following grants are currently open:

• Emerging Technologies Grant- Full RFP available at this link.

  • The intention of this grant is to provide PSUs funding for emerging technologies that are not already a part of the PSUs purchase and refresh cycle with a focus on innovative practices, personalized learning, artificial intelligence, promoting student understanding of digital rights and responsibilities, and/or encouraging problem-solving through the use of technology. 

  • Up to $50,000 for ONE YEAR for Traditional PSUs or Up to $25,000 for ONE YEAR for Charter, Regional, and Lab Schools

  • The intention of this grant is to provide an opportunity for PSUs to prioritize NC Digital Learning Competencies and Digital Learning Standards for students through the use of blended learning, innovative digital teaching and learning practices, coaching, data informed instructional practices, emerging technologies, personalized learning, and/or artificial intelligence.

  • Up to $95,000 for THREE Years for Traditional PSUs or Up to $30,000 for THREE Years for Charter, Regional, and Lab Schools

Grant writing support sessions will be offered from the time grants are open till grants close.
