The Connecting Communities of Education Stakeholders Conference provides a platform for educational discourse, research-based practice, and professional networking to enhance the unified collaboration of all stakeholders to strengthen the continuous improvement process.


To provide educators and leaders relevant, research-based strategies to affect short- and long-term change in adult practices that foster innovative practices for student success

To provide support staff with professional learning and resources for the daily operations and needs of school communities

To support student and educator growth through the dissemination (or sharing) of data-driven strategies and resources   

To recognize and encourage the collective contribution of communities of education stakeholders in individual and community-wide growth

Call for Proposals

The 2020 Connecting Communities of Education Stakeholders Conference (CCES) will be April 5-9, 2020 at The Koury Convention Center in Greensboro. The proposal window is now open for the 2020 Connecting Communities of Education Stakeholders Conference (CCES). This agency wide conference is an excellent opportunity to share your expertise to the field. This year's theme is Building Networks for Future Success.

The Connecting Communities of Education Stakeholders Conference features three types of sessions: Operational [45 minutes], Concurrent [1 hour 45 minutes], and Workshop [2 hours & 45 minutes]. 

Submit proposals through the 2020 CCES Call for Proposals form.  In an effort to assist you with the completion of the Call for Proposal, you may want to complete a 2020 CCES Call for Proposals - Worksheet. The proposal window will be open through December 22, 2019. Individuals selected for presentation will be notified of acceptance status by January 13, 2020.  

If you submit a proposal and it is accepted, registration fees -(conference only, excludes post-conference) for the lead presenter will be waived.

With over 2000 attending, the CCES Conference provides a unique opportunity for you to share innovative products and ideas with educators, administrators, related service personnel, and parents from all over the state.


Each booth package includes registration for two individuals, 8’x10’ exhibit space, 8’ high back wall and 3’ high side drape, one 8’ skirted table, two folding chairs and one wastebasket. A standard booth sign 7" x 44" with company name and booth number are also included. Exhibit space is assigned on a first come, first served basis once the registration fee is processed.

*Exhibits must be in place by 8:00 am Monday morning; NCDPI reserves the right to release vacant booth space; No equipment is to be used that will interfere with adjacent booths; Booths are located in an open area & must be staffed during operational hours

While vendors are allowed to apply for booth space through an open, neutral, and impartial process, the Department of Public Instruction does not endorse any such vendors, products, or services. Priority will be given to exhibitors who connect the conference vision, mission, goals, and Personalized Learning Pillars.
