Description:This session will explore QIAT Indicator 6, which focuses on the integration of Assistive Technology (AT) in transition planning. Participants will examine how to ensure students’ AT needs are addressed during key transition points, including classroom changes, moves between schools or districts, shifts between grade bands (elementary to middle, middle to high), and preparation for post-secondary life. Emphasis will be placed on strategies, tools, and team-based planning practices that promote continuity and student success across all transitions.

Description:This session explores the different structures that Assistive Technology (AT) teams can take within a school system. Participants will learn that AT teams are not one-size-fits-all—an IEP team can function as an AT team, individual schools can form site-based AT teams, and a PSU can establish a centralized AT team. The session will highlight how each structure can be effective depending on the needs, size, and resources of the district. Emphasis will be placed on flexible team models, role clarity, and practical strategies to leverage existing staff.
