Advanced Teaching Roles Opportunity

A new Advanced Teaching Roles Program was established by NC Session Law 2020-78.

The State Board of Education has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the new ATR program.

As a part of this process, all previously selected ATR Pilot districts must complete the Intent to Proceed Form available here

Application information for new applicants and RFP materials are available here

All interested districts are invited and encouraged to apply.

Key Dates

Open Request for Proposals (RFP) to join the program September 15, 2020
Deadline for local boards of education to submit proposals October 15, 2020
Select local school administrative units for the program December 15, 2020
