School Psychology Jobs and Internships
There are job opportunities in school psychology all across the beautiful state of North Carolina. From beach communities and quiet sound-side villages to bustling urban centers to verdant foothills and the Blue Ridge mountains, school psychologists are needed statewide.
North Carolina has 100 counties, each with its own school district; an additional 15 cities and towns also have their own separate districts, totaling 115 traditional Public School Units (PSUs). Over 200 charter schools constitute their own individual PSUs as well.
School psychologist vacancies posted on PSU jobs boards. Under the Category menu, the Student Services selection can be opened and Psychologist checked. This will show all available school psychologist positions statewide in a list and represented on a map. In addition, PSUs who wish to provide additional information about school psychology vacancies can submit job descriptions to be posted on this page.
The NC School Psychology Association (NCSPA) also provides job postings at this site.
Internships
Many North Carolina PSUs offer school psychology internships for students in school psychology graduate programs. Each year a survey is sent to school psychology contacts in PSUs to gather information about potential internship opportunities for the next school year.
