Parents, educators and all other community members are invited to provide feedback regarding Draft 2 of the proposed revisions to the content standards for the following 4th Level Mathematics Courses:
The surveys will be available through June 24, 2019.
The NCDPI is committed to a uniform and formalized process to guide the review and revision of the current standards by a committee of knowledgeable and experienced classroom teachers, instructional coaches and specialists, and NC university and community college professors. Additionally, an equally qualified team of educators, as well as, members of the business/industry community continue to serve as external reviewers throughout the revision process. Your input is vital to informing the work of the team and the development of the new standards.
Upon completion, these revised standards will impact the development of courses that provide a solid foundation for college and career ready students. Thus, these courses are designed to prepare students for any entry level post-secondary mathematics course. They are equal in rigor and designed to meet different student pathways into post-secondary education. Recognizing this, the NCDPI welcomes the feedback and comments of all stakeholders.
