A Positive Behavioral Supports Professional Learning Series for Educators Serving Young Children with Disabilities
This two-day in-person event introduces Inclusive Practices: Social & Emotional Foundations for Early Learning, a Positive Behavioral Supports Professional Learning Series for Educators Serving Young Children with Disabilities. Participants will learn:
- to build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- to create high-quality supportive environments that prevent challenging behavior and boost engagement by establishing effective schedules, routines, transitions, expectations, and rules.
- how to teach social and emotional skills including friendship skills, emotional literacy, self-regulation, and problem solving.
- to address challenging behavior using developmentally appropriate strategies.
Together, these strategies support positive, inclusive learning environments that are responsive to the demands of kindergarten.
