NC DPI in collaboration with Guilford County Schools is
offering a free, learning community to North Carolina teachers
on the High-Leverage Practices (HLPs), shown to improve student
outcomes when implemented correctly. The HLPs are organized
around four aspects of practice: collaboration, assessment, social/
emotional/behavioral, and instruction. From these four aspects of
practice, there are 22 practices intended to address the most
critical practices that every K–12 teacher should master and be
able to demonstrate.
In this learning community, you will explore the HLPs alongside
experts and your peers to dive deeper into understanding each
HLP, implementing the HLP into practice, and reflecting on the
results you see throughout the year. Please see the flyer for more details.
