The NCDPI Arts Education Team is thrilled to invite you to enjoy this Joyful Season with student performances in the NCDPI Education Building Lobby from 11:30-Noon on Tuesdays and Thursday in December!
The Durham Charter School Orchestra (formerly Healthy Start Academy) is a strings-centered music program for grades 5-8. Students who participate in the program are considered "Music Majors" and rehearse 4-5 times per week. All arrangements are custom-built for the group, and the repertoire spans from disco tunes such as "I Will Survive", "You Should Be Dancing", and "Stayin' Alive" to more contemporary hits, like Adele's "Rolling in the Deep" and "Skyfall", and many other songs in between.
