In this session, we will explore how Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools can be used as Assistive Technology (AT) to support students with disabilities. After a brief overview of policies impacting AT, we will dive into practical examples of how AI can help students with communication, executive functioning, reading, writing, and more. We will also highlight considerations around privacy, policy, and IEP team decision making ensuring the use of AI tools remains individualized, data-driven and legally compliant.
