This in-person professional learning is designed for administrators, program specialists, and other support staff, who are involved with decision-making regarding course of study and programming for students with significant cognitive disabilities (SCD). Participants will review resources and considerations to help determine if a student has a SCD and should be accessing the Extended Content Standards and NCEXTEND1 alternative assessments. They will also be introduced to essential elements for instructional planning and an observation tool to guide fidelity of implementation of quality programming for students with SCD. Successful completion of this professional learning will result in 0.4 CEUs.
