About the NC AI Solve-a-Thon:
Student teams led by a supported by a coach will:
  • Identify a local community issue
  • Develop an innovative solution using AI tools
  • Present their ideas in virtual pitch sessions this November
The top teams will advance to the statewide final pitch event on February 11, 2026, at the NCED Connect Symposium in Greensboro, N.C.
Key Dates & Details

More than just a competition, the NC AI Solve-a-Thon provides students with the opportunity to strengthen essential skills such as creativity, collaboration, problem-solving, and the responsible use of technology.

We encourage schools and districts to share this opportunity widely and support student teams in registering and preparing their projects.
