A two-day event to establish reliability using the TPOT™, an in-depth tool that provides information on how well teachers are implementing practices related to universal, targeted, and individualized support. Reliability certification supports NC Inclusive Practices (A Positive Behavioral Supports Professional Learning Series for Educators Serving Young Children with Disabilities) coaches to conduct a classroom observation and teacher interview, uncovering detailed information about the quality of 14 key social-emotional teaching practices, noting red flags that indicate areas for immediate support, and observing how teachers respond to challenging behaviors. The session concludes with a performance based assessment that leads to reliability certification.

Objectives
Participants will:
- review each item included on the Teaching Pyramid Observation Tool (TPOT) for Preschool Classrooms Research Edition,
- review scoring methods and procedures,
- practice scoring individual items, and
- individually score a recorded classroom observation using the TPOT.

Prerequisites
- Participants must complete Inclusive Practices SEFEL Module 1 and The Essentials of Practice-Based Coaching prior to taking TPOT Reliability Certification.
