This in-person workshop is intended for professionals working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in the general education setting. Participants will be provided with an overview of the characteristics of ASD that impact student’s academic and functional performance in the educational setting and implications for teaching. Particular attention will be given to the use of visual supports to increase student engagement in and completion of standards-aligned tasks and assignments. Successful completion of this professional learning will result in 0.6 CEUs.
