This in-person workshop is intended for educators and administrators who support students with significant cognitive disabilities. Participants will be provided an overview of essential content for teaching and supporting students with significant cognitive disabilities, including exploring belief systems, an introduction to the Extended Content Standards, supporting student communication abilities, and developing effective classroom and student programming. In addition, participants will be introduced to a self-reflection/observation tool that can be used to examine key elements of classroom programming.
