NC Inclusive Practices: Classroom Essentials Refresher (ECEC)

Designed as a two-hour, "before-the-school-year" event, The NC Classroom Essentials Refresher identifies six classroom components necessary for successful implementation of social-emotional and behavioral supports for young children with disabilities. 

This session is offered in a synchronous virtual format.

Objectives:
Participants will

  • re-examine the importance of visuals in early childhood
  • build understanding around the NC Classroom Essentials through evaluating photo examples
  • reflect upon plans for incorporating the NC Classroom Essentials into classrooms in preparation for the upcoming school year

Intended Audience: 

  • Teachers
  • Principals 

Prerequisites:

  • Participants must complete NC Inclusive Practices: Social & Emotional Foundations for Early Learning - Preschool OR Kindergarten Module 1 (formerly Pyramid Practices Tier I) prior to taking the NC Classroom Essentials Refresher.
