Enhancing Itinerant Services Through Collaboration is a professional learning series designed to strengthen the knowledge and practices of early childhood special education itinerant teachers who support preschool children with disabilities in inclusive settings. Grounded in current research, IDEA requirements, DEC Recommended Practices, and North Carolina policy, this series helps participants move beyond a traditional direct service model toward collaborative, capacity-building approaches that increase children's meaningful participation in everyday routines and activities. Participants will leave with actionable strategies, implementation resources, and planning tools to enhance the effectiveness and sustainability of itinerant services across a variety of preschool settings. Each session is designed to build on concepts and strategies introduced in previous sessions, creating a comprehensive learning experience over time. While participants are encouraged to attend the full series to maximize learning and application, educators may participate in individual sessions based on their professional learning needs.
