Title IA (No Child Left Behind Act 2001)

Title I, Part A focuses its nearly $365 million on the most economically disadvantaged schools, with over 1,350 schools participating. Participating schools use these funds to help participating students meet state standards in reading, writing and mathematics. Title I, Part A funds support a variety of activities including teachers, teacher assistants, professional development, parent involvement, computer labs, and preschool programs. All LEAs and most of the LEA Charter Schools receive Title I, Part A, funding.
